I joined as a doctoral student in the Department of Biomedical Science, Hearing Research Group, the City University of Hong Kong in the year 2016-present. My Ph.D. study deals with the role of natural sound statistics in auditory scene analysis. My study has two important aspects: Exploring the distribution of statistical parameters of natural sound texture space and measuring the sensitivity of neurons to these statistical parameters in the auditory pathway. Prior to this, I completed my master's degree in computer science & engineering from IIIT, Bhubaneswar (2007-2009) and a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from BPUT, Odisha (2003-2007). I have a huge interest in machine learning and I have a working expertise in developing TensorFlow and Keras based ML model.
